Too Many Black People Are Dying From Diabetes
African-Americans are twice as likely to develop diabetes, and suffer from amputation, blindness, kidney failure, stroke, erectile dysfunction, and heart attack.
But, the good news is that all this suffering is unnecessary -- if African-Americans will wake up and realize that they have the power to overcome this disease.
During my diabetes workshops or when I'm giving a lecture at a black church, I am always asked: "How did you beat this disease and overcome a coma?"
And, I tell them: "There are 3 reasons: God, my mother, my daughter."
However, the doctors told me that I didn't have a chance. They said that I would be on kidney dialysis and facing leg amputation within 2 years.
Well, it's been more than 7 years now, and I still have both my legs (thank you) and I'm not on kidney dialysis.
A black woman, who was the director of the American Diabetes Association (ADA) invited me to speak to a diabetic support group several years ago. Because of her, I facilitated this support group for more than 2 years. But, when several members of the support group improved their diabetes following my nutritional protocol, their doctors complained, leading to the firng of the ADA director.
When I was asked to leave the ADA, I was really upset and angry. But, I used that anger, and with encouragement from my mother and my daughter, I wrote the book "Death to Diabetes".
If you go to Amazon.com, you will see that "Death to Diabetes" is one of the well-received diabetes books, even better received than the ADA's diabetes book. "Death to Diabetes" is receiving rave reviews all over the Internet.
Amazon.com has Version 1.0 (2005) of my book, but the latest Version 3.0 (2008) is available on my website and several healthstores.
The bottom line for African-Americans and other ethnic groups is that they must acquire the knowledge about these diseases, the doctors, and the pharmaceutical companies. Once you get the knowledge, you'll have the power -- to live a life of health and wealth.
